before and after

BEFORE
Ack! This “utility” closet’s purpose was poorly defined. Apart from being a chaotic jumble, it was home to boxes of old papers as well as the kids’ hockey gear (stashed below). But we give credit to our client in their attempt at organization, evidenced by the box labeled “random bits o’ hardware”. At least they could find the Elmer’s.
AFTER
DwellWell to the rescue. In an effort to get D.I.Y. Dad on board with the organizing process, we transformed this utility catch-all into his own tool shack. We relocated the boxes of paper and hockey gear to where they made more sense and sorted those random bits o’ hardware into clear plastic bins which we categorized and labelled according to purpose. We then added a shelf to maximize the space and put up pegboard for easy access to his frequently-used toys – er, tools.
